87 Great Photography Blogs and Feeds

OK, so this may be a bit overkill, but I wanted to share with you some of my photography feeds that I try to keep up with. I’m subscribed to a little over 200 feeds, and just over half of those are about photography.
Below are 87 of the photography blogs I follow, though some more closely than others. So if you’re looking for more reading material, I’m sure you can find one or two in this list that suit your needs. I tried categorizing everything, but there are several blogs that cover many topics and I was having a hard time coming up with concise categories. So basically, you’ll have to dig around. The blogs I find more interesting are near the top of the list, but it’s not an exact ranking of favoritism.
If you’re new to feed reading and the world of RSS, take a look at the Problogger’s explanation of RSS technology. And before you hit this list, DON’T FORGET TO SUBSCRIBE TO MY FEED if you haven’t already.
You can also see all of the feeds I subscribe to via my Google Reader shared items for my “Photography” and “Photos” folders (thanks for the idea Bryan). And also many thanks to Alick for putting together an OPML file for those in the list.

UPDATE: I knew this would happen — I forgot one two. Lau reminded me that her site wasn’t in the list, and it IS in my feed reader; has been for some time now. Then Chris mentioned his being missing too. So here’s the 87th +1 and +2 on the list.

November 21, 2008I have been thinking for sometime whether I should be having a blog or not. But now I have finally decided to have a blog. The name of my blog is – My Third Eye. In recent times I have discovered a genuine fondness for photography. Capturing the world and its people in still images is a very difficult task. But right now I am trying. I am serious about this hobby. And I will carry on with it for years to come.
In my new blog I have posted a few pictures that I have taken in recent times. There are four categories. There is also another category which has my sketches. The URL is: https://clickmoments.blogspot.com/
I will be glad if you pay a visit to it and post your thoughts. I hope others will pour their thoughts in soon. You can even vote in the voting machine at the bottom of my blog. You may even be my follower if you want to. By clicking the ‘Follow this blog’ link on the top left of this page, you may add yourself to the list of my followers. I will be extremely glad.

March 15, 2009As a former Journalist in the military, I can appreciate any online information about photography.
Most of the developing we required was outsourced due to time restraints and our mission. But I must say that the tech side of photography is something that is ongoing, you have to keep up with the technology! I’ve acquired a lot of information from fellow photographers who have the time to keep up with it.
You’ve got quite an extensive list here, I’ll try to check them all out….
Thanks for sharing.

April 19, 2009With regards Canvas Prints, you should also see https://www.photoimageart.co.uk/ & the blog, https://www.photoimageart.co.uk/canvas-prints-blog/ some really good posts, very good pro custom effects, and loads of info on there.

April 25, 2009I don’t this this is overkill at all, Brian. I’ve spent years gathering what i believe might be the largest photography related links archive in one place on the web. I have almost 500 links that of course lead to thousands of more links from those sites. You can literally get a free education inside the archive.
The more of us gathering this data, the more help we can offer to photographers like me who can’t afford to pay for that education. I add my thankx to you for taking the time to gather this list.
Rio Helmi
April 26, 2009Help!!! That’s an impressive list – I am going to slowly work my way through them What might have been helpful (to lazy photogs like me) is if you had put in a short synopsis for each? like 140 characters, tweet like?
Aggie, if you ever publish that humongous list please don’t forget the synopsis!
I am not always interested in technical stuff, sometimes I would like to look at what others like me go through on a personal level in their work/careers (in my own blog I hardly write anything about technical stuff).
Brian, thank you!
