Photos, Films, and Urban Landscape

Roundup of Great Photos

I came across two links to some great photos today.  The first was posted by Chris Garrett at the DSLRBlog called “More Amazing Photoshopped Animals”.  These are some very humorous (and well-done) photo mash-ups that combine several animals.  The other link was from Marianne Fulton at The Digital Journalist in a post titled “Contact Press Images: 30 Years of Excellence”.  These photos are much less funny and much more real.  They depict just some of the press-worthy events of the last 30 years.  A MUST SEE.

Still Image Film-Making

Macro Art In Nature gives an interesting/entertaining link in the post titled “15,000 Digital Photographs For One 35 Minute Movie. Cool Stuff!”.  Talk about a lot of work!  The link is just to the 2 minute trailer, but it's still pretty great.  If you like this kind of stuff, there's a short film at College Humor called “Tony v. Paul”.  This one is hilarious — these guys are creative.

Tips for the Urban Landscape

The Digital Photography School gives us some “Urban Landscape Photography Tips“.  Good Tips for the urban jungle.  I live not far from New York City, and I can't get enough of that place.  There's so much to see in the urban environment, and these tips are sure to get you some good shots on your next trip to the city.  The photo below is one of mine as it relates to tip #3.
